You made the commitment to focus on your and your family’s health and wellness when you joined the Y. Let us help you be successful for the long haul, because when you focus on your own health you inspire others to do the same.

We understand that walking into a wellness center, with its many types of equipment, can be intimidating. Let us help you! During an orientation, you will learn how to use the cardiovascular and/or strength equipment in our wellness centers to increase your health and well-being. Orientations will be one-on-one or in small groups.

You will learn how to use the following types of equipment:

  • Cardio machines, such as treadmills, bikes, rowers and elliptical
  • Strength machines, such as the leg press and chest press machines

You will leave this appointment more comfortable and confident in the use of the wellness center. This orientation is perfect for people who have not been members at a gym before.


SCHEDULE & LOCATION

Wellness Orientations are available for new and current members in the Main Lobby on the following days and times:

  • Monday thru Friday: 9:00 am - 11:00 am & 6:00 - 8:00 pm
  • Saturdays: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

SPECIALIZED WELLNESS APPOINTMENTS

If you have a pre-existing condition of any nature or returning to an exercise program after a set back, please schedule an appointment with Heidi Roderick, Director of Community Health & Wellness, for a one on one session. Heidi can help guide you to a safe and effective return into exercise.
