TENNIS: We know all of you are eager to return to the court and we are eager to have you back. Hopefully, many of you are regaining some sense of normalcy in your lives. Please know we hope to add to this sense of normalcy by opening this Monday, October 2 for play from 8:30am-11:30am. As I mentioned in last Friday’s update we still plan on having 4 courts playable this Monday October 2. (2 hard courts, 2 clay courts).

Yesterday, we received 6 tons of Har-Tru court material and the additional fencing fixtures we need to complete the repairs to the fencing so we can safely open by Monday. George was able to finish repairing the lines and apply a top dressing of Har-Tru on courts 3 and 4 yesterday. However, we still need some dry weather to roll the courts prior to them being ready for play on Monday. This is necessary to help level the courts and the lines and also to help the new material bond to the old. Let’s pray for some dry weather over the next couple of days so we can get them rolled a few times.

The ladies CCWTA teams scheduled for this coming week are on as scheduled. All other scheduled leagues will commence per the league coordinators start dates. If you have not heard from your Captain please feel free to reach out to them to see if the league coordinator has changed the start date. All Captains should be apprised of this information at this point.

Men’s and Ladies Organized play is still suspended until further notice. We hope to have these programs back up and running in the coming weeks. I will keep you posted on this item. All clinics that have been scheduled at 10:00am this coming week are also on. The junior clinics on Saturday are also offered beginning tomorrow, Saturday September 30. All evening clinics both junior and adults are planned to commence the week of October 9th.

We are continuing to discover additional damage, lighting and roofing and windscreen damage etc. However, we are excited to open with limited service and hours from 8:30-11:30am beginning Monday October 2.

With sme good weather, we are hopeful we will have 2-4 more courts open the week of October 9. More to come.

Because there seems to be some rumors and misinformation…I will repeat this, we will be fine hosting ALL leagues when they commence. See your Team Captain for your start dates. We should be able to accommodate whatever comes up with the fall league season. I will get out additional information as it becomes available. Court will be scheduled on a on a first come first serve basis, no reservations will be taken at this point.
