Thank you Community Foundation of Collier County!
Have you heard that we have received a $6,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Collier County this year? These funds will help ensure working families in Collier County have access to child care.
Since early May, the YMCA has been a child care location for working families to rely on. The Y will use these funds to continue to offer, and expand, all-day child care and summer camp for families who continue to work during the COVID-19 crisis while their kids are out of school. The Y’s child care programs include free breakfast, lunch and snack, and a safe and nurturing environment for the children to learn, grow, and thrive.
“This grant will help the Y continue caring for children and supporting working families for the foreseeable future.” says Joanna Rivera, Interim CEO, Naples YMCA. “During this difficult time, when our community needs us most, we appreciate the continued support of community partners, like the Community Foundation of Collier County.”
The Community Foundation of Collier County awards annual grants through a competitive application and review process. Selected organizations receive grant dollars from the Changing Needs Fund. This Fund is made up of donors who believe in the Community Foundation’s ability to identify and grant to the community’s most current needs.
