The YMCA offers more group exercise classes than anyone else in the Naples area! We promise to help support you through every stage of life, regardless of age, physical ability, size or shape. With such a variety of group exercise classes, you’ll never get bored. Have fun, stay motivated, and get healthy!

Free classes just for members! Whether you are a beginner who is looking to try a class for the first time, or you are a seeking a class that will challenge you in every way, we have something for you!

"Glute-Camp": This class targets and strengthens your lower body muscles. Improve your strength with a variety of exercises for your lower body.

20/20/20: This class offers three segments of different types of cardio, strength and core based formats that can change every week. Each segment will be approximately 20 minutes long.

90 Minute Yoga: The Works - The class is an extended opportunity to explore the wide range of postures, principles and practices that make up a well-rounded yoga sequence. This longer practice allows you to work toward finding and sustaining the balance between energy and calm.

Advanced Pilates: This Pilates class is designed for those looking for a little more or a challenge - we review the fundamentals of a beginner class while moving on to more challenging exercises and repertoire. This class is designed for experienced Pilates students.

Aerobics: This class includes fat burning cardiovascular aerobics. Low impact is designed to reduce stress on back and joints while using all major muscle groups.

Barre: Utilizing a ballet barre and tools like balls, light weights and resistance bands, you will tone, shape, stretch and lengthen your entire body. The technique will give you better balance, body awareness, coordination, and posture.

Barre Intensity: Combining attributes of Pilates, dance, and functional fitness training. Using small isolated movements fatigue the muscles, large range motion to elevate heart rate, and sequencing that incorporates upper and lower body to make every minute count!

Beginning Tai Chi and Balance: Enjoy the benefits that involve a series of postures and exercises including slow, circular movements, regulated breathing, focused meditation, and self-massage. Improve your balance with the movements of Qigong!

BODYATTACK: A high-energy, calorie consuming athletic workout!! Sports inspired cardio-based program offering low to high impact options. An intense and SUPER fun workout!!!

BODYPUMP: This workout challenges all major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and curls. The key is THE REP EFFECT™, a breakthrough in fitness training focusing on high repetition movements with low weight.

Boxing: Learn the basics of punches, kicks and stance before advancing to hand-to-hand, padded contact with an instructor. Cardio-infused for a full body workout.

Cardio Mix: A fun combination of step, aerobics and other cardio modes of exercise that burn calories and make the class go quickly.

Circuit Training: Improve your strength, cardio, and balance. This class is designed for those looking to get back into shape and modifications will be provided if needed.

ClubVibe: Club Vibe® is an exercise science based dance format which cohesively blends authentic studio style dance with cutting edge fitness to deliver a fun, non-stop, safe and results driven workout that appeals to all levels and abilities.

Core: This class targets your entire torso, including back and core muscles. A strong core leads to strong, fit body that will be less prone to injury. This class is a wonderful complement to all group fitness classes at the YMCA!

CXWORX: LES MILLS CORE-focused workout! Your instructor will guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches and planks. You will also work your hips and glutes.

Express Core Blast!: Express Version! This class targets your entire torso, including back, glute and ab muscles. A strong core leads to strong, fit body that will be less prone to injury.

Express Total Body Circuit: Need a quick total body workout? Improve your strength, cardio, and balance. This class is designed for those looking to get back into shape and modifications will be provided if needed.

Hard Core Bootcamp: A class for those looking to challenge their bodies with an intense workout! Improve your strength, cardio, agility, speed and endurance with a variety of exercises.

Hatha Yoga: Hatha Yoga is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.

Intermediate/Advanced Pilates: This Pilates class is designed for those looking for a little more or a challenge - we review the fundamentals of a beginner class while moving on to more challenging exercises and repertoire.

Kettlebells: A total body workout using your own body weight and kettlebells. Strengthen your entire body in this class!

Kickboxing: An action-packed workout that combines a series of punching and kicking combinations, this class improves strength, muscle tone and endurance. It's an intense workout for the participant who wants a challenge.

LaBlast: This program can be made challenging enough for a seasoned dancer or provide even the most rhythmically challenged a fun workout. Louis’ belief is that ‘if you can clap it, you can dance it’™, even if you’ve never danced before!

Lunchtime Express Spinning: A 45-minute version of our Spinning class! A high energy class with great music and motivating instructors riding a varied mixture of flats, hills & sprints while burning calories all the way! Bring a water bottle and a towel.

Lunchtime Express Yoga: A 45-minute version of our traditional yoga class to get you in and out over your lunch hour. Yoga poses utilizing breathing techniques for muscular endurance, flexibility and relaxation.

Move.Laugh.Connect: Move.Laugh.Connect is appropriate for everyone. Those with movement disorders or challenged by other health conditions will find it especially helpful. This program balances physical, social and emotional dimensions critical to overall health.

Pilates: Pilates is a full body exercise that educates, realigns, and balances the body, which builds lean, flexible muscles. This class increases coordination and improves body alignment and posture while relieving stress and tension.

Power Sculpting: Very similar to our Sculpt class but movements are performed faster and in a more advanced way. Several body parts are often working in unison for an efficient and effective workout.

Power Pilates: Power Pilates is a full body exercise that educates, realigns, and balances the body, which builds lean, flexible muscles. This class is taught at a higher intensity than our other Pilates classes increasing calorie burn and muscle toning.

Power Yoga: Power Yoga is a dynamic, flowing practice which cultivates strength, flexibility, balance, focus and endurance. It tones and sculpts the entire body allowing for rapid results.

Sculpt: This class focuses on toning and strengthening muscles throughout the body using weights, tubing, stability balls, and body weight.

Step: Choreographed patterns to keep you moving up and down off the step and make time sail by. The primary goal is cardiovascular conditioning. This class ends with 10-15 minutes of core strengthening exercises.

Stretch and Core: Dynamic and static stretching prepares the body for exercise, increases your range of motion and prevents muscle imbalances that can lead to injury. Combine stretching with core exercises to strengthen your entire body.

Tabata: Tabata is high intensity type of interval, Timer-based workout. Join us for a strength and cardio-driven fitness class! Increase your heart rate, burn calories and have fun while improving your muscle strength and cardio ability!

Tai Chi: The ancient practice of Tai Chi Is clinically proven to be one of the most effective exercises to improve health, fitness and relaxation. Tai Chi consists of fluid, gentle and relaxed movements suitable for anyone and can be practiced almost anywhere.

Total Body Burn: This 45-minute class is designed to burn calories and strengthen your entire body. Exercises are set up for repetition to increase the heart rate and promote a metabolic boost.

TRX Bootcamp: Suspension training body weight exercises are combined with the use of weights and bursts of cardio to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.

Upper Body Sculpt: A 30-minute class targeting your upper body. Expect to use both body weight exercises and weights to strengthen your upper body.

Y-Spine/Gentle Stretch: This 30-minute class will focus on improving the strength and flexibility of the muscles that support your PERFECT posture.

Yoga: Traditional yoga poses and sequences utilizing breathing techniques for muscular endurance, flexibility, and relaxation.

Zumba: Get ready to party yourself into shape! This exhilarating, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party™ will move YOU!

ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS

Physical activity is essential in maintaining a higher quality of life and independence among seniors. Regular exercise provides many practical benefits, including reducing the risk of diseases and conditions such as diabetes, osteoporosis, coronary artery disease and high blood pressure. Stronger muscles, better balance and coordination, and higher energy levels all work together to maintain or improve basic living skills.

Aerobics: This class includes fat burning cardiovascular aerobics. Low impact is designed to reduce stress on back and joints while using all major muscle groups.

AIM Pilates: This class is part of our "adults in motion" program. The class is performed in a chair and incorporates breathing and strengthening exercises to restore the body.

AIM Yoga: This class is part of our "adults in motion" program. Complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures. This class is designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement.

Pedaling for Parkinson’s: Research conducted at Cleveland Clinic showed that simply pedaling a bicycle at a rapid pace - optimally, 80-90 revolutions per minute - helps reduce symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. This program is appropriate for patients in stages I – III.

Pilates: Pilates is a full body exercise that educates, realigns, and balances the body, which builds lean, flexible muscles. This class increases coordination and improves body alignment and posture while relieving stress and tension.

Sculpt: This class focuses on toning and strengthening muscles throughout the body using weights, tubing, stability balls, and body weight.

SilverSneakers Circuit: This workout offers standing, low-impact choreography alternated with standing upper-body strength work with handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball. This class is suitable for every fitness and can be adapted to the individual.

SilverSneakers Classic: Have fun and move to the music through exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance.

Work at your own ability level during a variety of water exercise classes with the encouragement from friendly, welcoming classmates.

LES MILLS GRIT™

LES MILLS GRIT™ is a 30 minute H.I.T.T. (High Intensity Interval Training) Workout. Your team coach will push you to the max with the ultimate athletic training techniques. It’s the fastest way to get fit and in shape. Short, sharp bursts of effort allow you to reach maximum training zones and that’s the secret to athletic performance. There are 3 variances: Strength, Plyo, and Cardio.

Cardio: LES MILLS GRIT™ Cardio is a high-impact cardio workout like nothing else. Designed to burn fat and rapidly improve athletic capability, this explosive workout combines high impact body weight exercises and uses no equipment.

Plyo: LES MILLS GRIT™ Plyo is a plyometric-based workout that delivers fast results! Combining the principles of explosive plyometrics and power agility training, you’ll build a powerful, agile and athletic body.

Strength: Using barbell, weight plate and body weight exercises, LES MILLS GRIT™ Strength is an intense team training workout that will blast all major muscle groups and take your strength into another zone.

Born in the Navy SEALs, TRX Suspension Training use bodyweight exercise to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.
