YMCA EARLY EDUCATION CENTERS
Developing the Whole Child
GAYNOR EARLY LEARNING CENTER
As Naples' largest early childhood education facility, our YMCA Gaynor Early Learning Center helps care and educate children from infancy through preschool.
All in all, it’s an exciting time for education at the Greater Naples YMCA and we will soon be building the Gaynor Early Learning Center on our Healthy Living campus. We have also opened our brand new children's pediatrics clinic in partnership with Healthcare Network and Golisano Children’s Hospital. Currently, our center serves over 200 children, ages 3 months to 5 years and our school readiness rates for children graduation our preschool program are in the 95th percentile! Children in the YMCA early education program have access to everything our 20-acre campus has to offer including nature trails, swimming, a gymnasium and the world-class GOLDplus curriculum taught by award-winning teachers.
NCEF EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
In 2016, Florida SouthWestern State College selected the Greater Naples YMCA as their provider of choice for the supervision and operation of the Naples Children & Education Foundation (NCEF) Early Childhood Education Center.
This innovative, LEED-certified award winning building (Design Award of Unbuilt Honor in Architecture—Florida Southwest Association of the AIA), was originally funded and opened by NCEF in 2008. The center boasts seven classrooms, a children’s art studio and a creative playground. The seven age-appropriate classrooms directly open to outdoor play areas that provides a learning environment centered on play and nature.Photo Gallery #703: Click edit pencil to get the selected gallery name.
EARLY LEARNING CENTER AT VME
More than a decade ago the Greater Naples YMCA and Collier County School District developed a cooperative and collaborative working relationship designed to enhance school readiness. Through this formal agreement the Naples YMCA has been offering children enrolled in the district with ongoing assistance in reading, music and communication skills through our Teaching Strategies GOLDplus curriculum. The early education program at Veterans Memorial Elementary School (VME) primarily serves the district employees and families residing nearby.
The quality of site educators, the curriculum and the fact that children become familiar with their elementary school before they begin kindergarten are some of the reasons the Naples YMCA early education program has consistently documented some of Collier County’s highest school readiness scores. The program is limited to children ages 3 and 4 years of age and traditionally there is a wait list.
Our professional, dedicated and highly trained staff is our greatest asset. You will find that our teachers are truly dedicated and focused on providing a nurturing environment with outstanding curriculum and activities.
Our Early Childhood Education Programs include these areas:
- Infant Care: starting at 3 months
- Toddler Program: 12 months – 3 years
- Early Education Program: 3 – 4 years
- Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK): 4 – 5 years
