Executive Chef, Bay Colony Golf Club
Executive Chef Wilhelm Gahabka, C.E.C., has served at the helm of Bay Colony Golf Club’s culinary team with great distinction for more than a decade.
A native of Germany, he trained at Nuremberg’s Culinary Institute and honed his culinary skills under the direction of many lauded European Chefs in St. Moritz, Munich, Milan and Monte Carlo before moving stateside. His resume includes ten years overseeing the culinary operations of The Registry Resort, Naples, and its famed five star, four diamond Lafite Restaurant prior to joining Bay Colony Golf Club as Executive Chef.
Chef Wilhelm is a Certified Executive Chef and member of the American Culinary Federation. He has been awarded over three gold medals, four silver medals and one Best in Show in national ACF competitions.
Chef Wilhelm has been featured on CNN’s “On the Menu” series as well as the Discovery Channel’s “Great Chefs of the South.” In 2015, Chef Wilhelm Gahabka was recognized as "Culinarian of the Year" in Southwest Florida.
In 2011, Chef Wilhelm published his first cookbook, “The Bay Colony Golf Club Cookbook.” The cookbook features recipes from his signature cooking classes held monthly for members in the Bay Colony Golf Club kitchen. His first release received local and national press before selling out by popular demand. The cookbook is available to members and fans of Bay Colony Golf Club upon request.
