Chef Robert Saalfeld, CEC

Executive Chef, Naples Lakes Country Club

Originally from Oakland, New Jersey Robert Saalfeld, CEC started working in hotels training as a cook while still in high school. He continued his education at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.

Robert has been working in private yacht and country club communities in Sarasota, Texas and Naples for the last 27 years with the last 20 at the executive chef level. He is an Active member in the American Culinary Federation (ACF) and received his Certified Executive Chef (CEC) status in 1999. Also as an Active member in the National Ice Carving Federation, has been awarded numerous medals from ice competitions in Alaska, Canada and the United States.

Currently Robert is the Executive Chef at Naples Lakes Country Club for the last 3 years. Robert has a strong passion for food and is also an experienced baker, pastry chef and chocolatier. He has a reputation as a great teacher sharing his knowledge and training with many young culinary professionals that have moved into higher positions.
